DR. ANTHONY CARTER

IBF  MODERATOR

Dr. Anthony Carter is the founder and Pastor of Truth Baptist Church. Dr. Carter is happily married to his lovely wife Terri and together they have 3 children, a son-in-law and 3 grandchildren.  He was called into the ministry by the Lord Jesus Christ while serving in the U.S. Army in the Republic of Panama.

While serving at Maranatha Baptist Church in Panama as a Deacon and Bus Driver, the Lord called him back to Jacksonville, FL (his hometown) and preach the gospel.  There was never a time from his childhood to the time he went into the military that anyone came to his home with the gospel of Christ although there were several churches in Jacksonville.

Pastor Carter earned a Bachelor of Biblical Studies at Gulf Coast Bible Institute, and a Master of Religious Education, and Doctorate in Pastoral Theology at Andersonville Theological Seminary.  Seeing a need to help his “kinsmen according to the flesh” get grounded int he word of God, Dr. Carter started a weekly bible study in his parents home that started the groundwork to establish Truth Baptist Church.

PASTOR DWAYNE JOHNSON

IBF 1ST VICE MODERATOR

Dwaine Johnson was born on one of the not so well-known islands, Eleuthra, Bahamas. His birth though normal but his health abnormal, doctors had informed his mother that they did not expect him to survive and to expect death. But God has the last word, and his will always over rules man's. With a sickly childhood and God's favor, he grew and survived.

Throughout his younger years, even before salvation, there was something in the back of his mind that his life must have a greater purpose.  On April 19th, 1983, he came to faith in salvation. One year later he was heading to Bible College in America. He now knew what that greater purpose was. Pastor Johnson got his formal Bible training at Landmark Baptist College, located in Haines City Florida.  It was there he received more formal training and pruning through the years, 1984 - 1988, before launching into the pastorate.

After graduating college, the following year in 1989, he was led to start what is now the Berean Baptist Church located in Daytona Beach Florida, where he is the senior pastor. Pastor Johnson and his wife, Gaynell have been married for almost 30 years, she along with their three children, Dwaine Jr, Caleb and Candace have been very instrumental in working in the ministry. To God be the Glory!

DR. TED PATTERSON

IBF 2ND VICE MODERATOR

In November 1986, Dr. Ted Patterson experienced a significant spiritual transformation when he
accepted Jesus as his Savior. This pivotal moment led him to become actively involved in White
Rock Baptist Church in West Memphis, Arkansas, where he served as a Sunday school teacher
and as the church’s financial officer. In April 1989, he felt a Divine Calling to preach the gospel
and dedicated himself to preparing for the ministry.

While attending Southwide Baptist Fellowship in October 1989, Dr. Patterson sensed a strong
conviction to serve under the leadership of Dr. Louis Baldwin at Crossroad Baptist Church in
Bailey’s Crossroads, Virgina. During his time at Crossroads, he honed his understanding of the
Bible, ministry, and pastoral leadership.

His diligent service, compassion for others, and commitment to the local church earned him
recognition and support from Crossroads Baptist Church. As a result, Dr. Patterson was
commissioned to establish Jacksonville Baptist Temple in Jacksonville, Arkansas.

Over the past twenty-nine years, he has tirelessly pursued the Great Commission, expanding the
ministry through implementing a daycare, a school, and even teaching in a local Bible College.
Under his leadership, Jacksonville Baptist Temple has planted three churches and currently has
one missionary serving in Uganda.

Dr. Patterson and his wife, Martina, recently celebrated thirty- seven years of marriage. They
have four children and one very special daughter-in-law, who all serve with them at Jacksonville
Baptist Temple. He also has two grandchildren, Kamden and Kaison with whom he has the
pleasure of sharing his love for The Lord.

REV. JAMES SANDERS

IBF SECRETARY/TREASURER

Pastor James Sanders was born in the small rural town of Hughes, Arkansas. He graduated high school and joined the Marine Corps. It was while he was stationed on the island of Okinawa on March 5th, 1976 he accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at the Maranatha Baptist Church and learned that he could never lose his salvation. Pastor Sanders became committed to studying and teaching God's word with the desire to prevent many from experiencing the same spiritual downfall he had. Six months later, after reading the Bible through and much church involvement he surrendered to the call of God to preach the gospel.

He sent a gospel track to his high school sweet heart and she accepted Christ. Two weeks after returning from Okinawa they were married on February 26th, 1977. That same year he was discharged from the Marines and entered Tennessee Temple University in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Bible in May of 1981. He continued his education through God's divine provision and graduated from Temple Baptist Theological Seminary in May of 1988 with a Master of Divinity with a proficiency in Old Testament Theology.

After graduating college, he helped organized the New Sholar Avenue Baptist Church which he pastored for sixteen years. In June of 1996 he was lead of the Lord and moved to Kansas City, Missouri and became the Minister of Education at the Bannister Road Baptist Church with Pastor Dwight E.  Scott. After leaving the Bannister Road Baptist Church, he founded and organized the Grandview Independent Baptist Church which he pastored for 12 years.

Through the miraculous healing of God, he recovered from a major stroke in January of 2013 and resigned from the pastorate and has organized the Agape Love Printing Ministry. It is through this ministry he has published a teaching series outline of the Book of Romans entitled "Empowered for Heaven and Earth." He has also developed an outline survey series study through the Bible entitled "The Approved Workman" (not published) along with some other books of the bible outline series with prayerfully many more to come. This ministry has allowed for the development of discipleship materials called "Partners in Faith a One with One Ministry." Through this ministry he is desiring to teach and train churches to teach and train new converts in "The Five Essentials of Christian Living."

Pastor Sanders and his wife Loretta have been married for forty-one years. They have three daughters and seven grandchildren.
